Last Year... About One in Five People With Diabetes Entered The Hospital for Foot Problems

If you are diabetic, here is critical information
YOU NEED TO KNOW
to protect your skin.

Hello,

I am Dr. Boyce Berkel, and I want to help you get started on a long term program to avoid skin problems if you don’t have any yet, and manage your skin problems successfully if you do. As a diabetic with skin problems and working with diabetics every day, I can’t wait t tell you about Stevens Skin Cream.

But first let me tell you what I’ve found and what disturbs me greatly. I found out that most of the skin creams recommended for diabetic skin problems were really not what diabetics should be putting on their skin,

Here’s why…

FIRST – they did not contain moisturizers – people with diabetes get a type of nerve damage called autonomic neuropathy. This causes their feet to sweat less or not at all, leading to dryness. Treatment should be aimed at restoring the moisture, not just preventing more moisture from leaving.

SECOND – they do not contain antiseptics – people with diabetes are prone to bacterial and fungal infections of the feet. Treatment should be aimed at lowering the bacterial and fungal population of the feet, and reducing the chance of infection.

THIRD – most serious of all, they contain petrolatum, mineral oil, lanolin or various forms of waxes which clog your pores and prevent the skin from breathing.

Just think about it…

Could you possibly quench your thirst by preventing moisture from leaving your lips? Wouldn’t you rather have a cool glass of water? So does your skin. A moisturizer should be putting moisture into your skin.

Some skin creams are moisturizers.
         Other skin creams have moisturizers in them;
while most of the rest are just called moisturizers.

Which would you rather put on your dry skin?

Read the label… not just the name!!!

You may be saying to yourself… so what!
Well, take a look at the following sobering statistics.

  • Diabetic foot problems cause more hospital stays that any other complications of diabetes.
  • More than 14 million diabetics in the US have peripheral neuropathy and are at risk of developing diabetic foot ulcers.
  • An equal number suffer from symptoms associated with calluses, corns and build-up areas of painful dry, cracked skin. These can also lead to ulcers and problems with infection.
  • 2.1 million Diabetics will develop diabetic foot ulcers. Of these, 525,000 will eventually undergo amputation of one or both lower extremities.

From the standpoint of the feet, there are only 2 types of diabetics. Those who have foot problems, and those who will have foot problems.

Can you see the merit, and extreme importance of taking care of your feet? As part of your foot care, you must have a long term maintenance program for moisturizing your feet. This program should be easy to follow, and should involve the use of an effective moisturizer.

But let me pause here to give you a double warning!

Warning #1:
Do Not Use Any Moisturizer That Does
Not
Meet the Following 5 Criteria!

  1. Must have De-ionized water.

Using De-iodized Water Gives You The Following Four Distinct Benefits… Your body is alkaline. Chronic inflammation and infection sets up an acid state in your tissues in the area of inflammation and infection.

De-iodized water helps to restore your tissues to a normal, healthy, alkaline state. It is rich in oxygen and calcium, and other positive minerals such as potassium, magnesium and others. These minerals are essential in maintaining healthy tissues.

Ionization cuts the size of the water molecule cluster in half, making it more permeable and easily absorbed into your tissues, thus helping to restore moisture. It is a superb antioxidant. Antioxidants protect your tissues from further free-radical damage.

  1. Must have moisturizers.

Your skin and soft tissues are 70% water…they function best, and are most healthy when well hydrated. Any effort to improving your condition must include restoring your tissues to as healthy a state as is possible, and moisture is of primary importance.

  1. Must have Antiseptics

People with diabetes are prone to bacterial and fungal infections of the feet. Treatment should be aimed at lowering the bacterial and fungal population of the feet, and reducing the chance of infection.

  1. Must have anti-oxidants

Anti-oxidants protect your tissues from free-radical damage.

  1. Must have nutrient packed ingredients

These include the following vitamins. Vitamin B-complex (vital in maintaining healthy nerves). Vitamins ACand E (essential in maintaining healthy tissues).

Warning #2:
Do Not Use Any Moisturizer That contains
o
ne or more of the Following 5 Ingredients.

Petrolatum, Mineral oil, Lanolin, Waxes nor Alcohol

Alcohol evaporates taking moisture from the skin and causing further dryness, while the petrolatum, mineral oil, lanolin and waxes clog your skins pores, preventing moisture from entering your skin, and also preventing your skin from breathing.

Here’s how I discovered Stevens Skin Softener Cream, and how you can benefit greatly from that discovery.

In 1995, my fiance, a home health nurse at the time was treating 2 patients with leg ulcers. After months of not responding to medical treatments, one patient was sent to a plastic surgeon for consideration for skin grafting, but was told by the surgeon – there was nothing that could be done. He would have to live with the ulcer.

There being nothing really left to do, with permission from their physician, my wife applied Stevens Skin Softener Cream to the ulcer and in about 10 days it cleared up. The other patient with a similar ulcer got the same speedy result. I determined to meet Mr. Stevens to find out what I could learn about the cream and what made it so effective.

Mr. Stevens, a diabetic himself had been having severe foot problems – dryness, cracking and bleeding, told me the fascinating story of how he developed Stevens Skin Softener Cream – a very effective solution.

“Because of my diabetes, and having to take insulin twice a day, for over 15 years I suffered with dry lips, dry fingers, and dry feet, so severe, that sometimes they would crack and bleed. During all that time I searched for a cream that would ease the dry skin associated with my condition, but found nothing. I have developed a product that has not only solved my problem, but is also very effective in relieving the dryness and itching associated with eczema, psoriasis, and several other dry skin conditions. Now at age 72, I no longer have cracked and bleeding lips, fingers, and feet, and my skin is much, much better.”
